What is SPEED Training?

SPEED Training is a 1 day workshop focused on using Technology and Systems to run an efficient insurance agency.   We combine multiple strategies from email templates (over 60 custom templates are included), BOD, books, corporate training, and more to show you how to create an outstanding customer experience without a ton of extra effort.

I believe there is an easier path to running a successful agency.  I struggled during my first 3 years of agency.   I invested my energy into the wrong things – the wrong marketing, the wrong people, and long hours into the wrong activities in the office.  This took its toll on me and my family, and finally came to a head when I was writing my 40th life app of the year on 12/31 on a nephew of a friend.

The following year, I made the change to run my business with an entrepreneur’s mindset; I combined a coach’s approach with my technology background to go from barely getting my contract to earning some of the top awards in the company.  With the help of multiple resources, I finally was able to build the career I’d always wanted.

This one day class shows you I did it, and how you can too.  Getting better drives everything we do.   I believe in the power of 1% improvements, how tiny gains have tremendous cascading results, and looking for a slight edge in every scenario.  Whether you are a brand new TICA or a tenured agent, you & your staff will bring hours back into each and every work day by implementing these concepts.

SPEED Training is not an ECRM course, but it is updated with best practices.

Although we focus heavily on technology towards the end of class, it is more in the form of optimizing your laptop/workstation, Outlook, Adobe, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Chrome, and other software.


SPEED started in 2016 when Sean Morton was asked to speak at a Fall Planning conference.  A Colorado Sales Leader was putting together a presentation focused on preparing your agency for technology changes by the year 2020, and how to use systems & processes to run everything.  Sean has a background in technology and has gone from doing everything in his agency (production, service, BOD, etc.) to relying on our processes to coach his team on how to run the business.  After going back and forth on ideas, the Sales Leader finally just asked him to present at the conference on how he runs his agency.

This led to an in depth Workshop a few weeks later and has grown from there.  Sean now does a Workshop every month or so in the Denver area, and a few others across the country throughout the year.
